(Animark) Enhance your breeding management program by knowing the exact optimum time to breed. Ovascan works by measuring electrochemical changes directly from the animal’s reproductive tract. It monitors changes in the cervico-vaginal secretions, allowing you to breed on ovulation, not heat. Once a day, a small probe is inserted into the vagina. In about 10 seconds, a number is displayed. A few days before ovulation, the numbers start dropping until the day ovulation occurs, when there is a sharp rise. If you use a bull or stallion, you can reduce wear and tear by minimizing the covers required for fertilization. If you are using AI, you can save on your semen and service costs.
