This is a sturdy bag, one which we have used for years with no problems. Our Scotties have gone all over the world in this bag easily and safely. The lady with the Westie should have trimmed her dog's toenails, because we have never had a nail caught in this bag, and the wheels have been a real blessing when changing gates and terminals. This bag is the best! I have an adopted Scottie mix with longer than usual nails because his cuticles won't receed. No problems with the mesh at all. After trimming my dog's nails, the groomer uses an electric file to file off any jagged edges on his nails. My dog has pawed at the mesh and has never gotten his nails caught in, snagged or ripped it.
