(Schering Animal Health) For reliable calf scour control, vaccinate the cow to provide protection through her colostrum. Protects against the most prevalent rotavirus and coronavirus strains, plus E. coli K99 and Cl. perfringens Types C and D. Guardian is the only vaccine containing Coronavirus Serotype 3, shown to cause 80% of coronavirus infections. Dosage is 2 ml SQ 12 weeks prior to calving, then give a second 2 ml dose 3-6 weeks later. Revaccinate annually with one dose of Guardian 5-7 weeks before calving.
